Topaz's picture of Stareyes' Alriai Aborin
"Alriai Aborin from Stareyes's manga Phoenix Dawn. What caught my attention was her hobby of fencing, and I do like to see women who are good with their weapons. ~_^ Stareyes has really delved into the universe she has created. There is so much detail on her site already that I didn't have time to go through it all in the time I had. It's been a very busy two weeks, but I will definitely be going to back to see the manga progress." Topaz's website

Bunny H's picture of Dot Warners' Sailor Minerva and Azelena
"I couldn't make up my mind this time so I did Sailor Minerva in her henshined and human form, along with Azelena in the background. I hope you like it. Didn't get to spend as much time on it as I wanted because of vacation and all, but it did turn out more or less recon'nizable, ne?" Bunny H's website

Stareyes' picture Topaz's India and Katherine
"I was reading Topaz's comic and was struck by a conversation when India mentions how nobody held a memorial service for Katherine, because she was 'just an android'. It reminded me of a quote from the end of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (One of Robert Heinlein 's best books -- go to your local library today and get a copy). Science-fiction is about determining what is human, for me, so it seemed only natural to include it. For a version of the picture without text, go to http://stareyes.50megs.com/art/india1.jpg" Stareyes' website

Hawk's picture of Xalan's Kit DeCaine
"Here's the many personas of Kit DeCaine. Wow, what an interesting character... I just had to draw all three versions of her so I could see them side by side. Where wardrobe information was obscure I took some artistic liberties. I hope you don't mind. Kit in 'Duck Mode' was by far the hardest to make." A. Twu's picture of Unoriginality's characters
"Four people who transform into MESSIAH. Their elements are Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth. Air, Fire, Water, and Earth were thought to be the four "elements" beginning in Ancient Greece, a practice continuing until the development of modern chemistry. They were distinguished by the four characteristics of warm, cold, dry, and moist. Air was warm/moist, fire warm/dry, water cold/moist, earth cold/dry. In this picture, Wind, Water, and Earth are obvious, Fire is the sun, which, well, is a big ball of fire. The arrangement of the elements has been altered for the sake of making the picture look better. Each character is drawn over his/her corresponding element. Incidentally, in the Ancient Orient, there were five elements. fire, water, and earth are also included, air is not, instead there is wood and metal." A. Twu's website

Xalan's picture of Bunny H.'s Indra
"I just had to draw Indra from Bunny H's comic when I saw her, nothing better than a insane assain catgirl! I went through about ten different ideas for her however, until I just went ahead with a sleepy pose:) Hope you like Bunny H!" Xalan's website

"Day in the Life"
Dot Warner's picture of Jacethakidd's knight
"The poor guy was marked for arrest and had his clothes stolen all in a single day! No wonder he's so exhausted. The spiffy-looking armor in the full-sized portrait was mostly inspired from Record of Lodoss War; technically, armor really should be either steel or bronze, but I felt that blue would be a better-looking color. Last time I said I'd draw smaller, but this time I started with a sketch that was 6 times larger than the final version. @.@ The cool-looking chain mail was rendered using Painter Classic's paper texture abilities."
