"I did Emiko's Yuki Yamashiro for this round of MAX, and after reading her comic I figured it would be interesting if I drew her in elf perspective. Please be kind about the CGing I did it at 6:30 in the morning, and man are my eyes tired. Anyway, the CG was a totally different style than what I've been doing, and so is the drawing style. "This has to have been the hardest round yet for me. Easy. Xalan's my best friend in RL, she seems to half own all my characters, and except for a couple of her projects, the same goes for me. And even though she asked for someone from her Dark Angel project, those characters have been done to death (hint there Xalan) So, having run into her at the bookstore and spent and hour and a half laughing my head off with her, I decided to go for one of the ideas we laughed over (with her permission) If you can't read my writing, the basic idea is that Trace (the shocked looking guy in the fourth panel) has just proposed to Kit (The one grinning at him) she agreed, they walked back to the house the team lives in, and nearly everybody's waiting for them. (Everybody knew he was gonna propose, Kit didn't. Skygem (her twin) tells her, and kit says, yeah, he asked, and yeah, she agreed, on the condition that he gets gelded. The joke ther is that he was a real ladies man before he met Kit, and that she had a real bad experience with a guy when she was fifteen. The little girl in the last panel is Shelby, asking what gelded is." Xlade's website

"Well, the second I saw Delwyn, I knew I was going to draw him. Maybe it was the fact he's the villain, maybe it was his elven features, or his incredibly cool light gray hair... Whatever the case, here are two portraits of Delwyn! I had an idea in my head that I unfortunately did not have the time to fully realize, but these two pictures are sort of practices for that idea. Perhaps in the future I'll be able to get it right. :) Oh, and there were two more bonus piccies, pencil sketches of Delwyn and Alri, but they were stolen! "I learned two somethings very important this week for MAX. One, CGing with a regular mouse is murder, especially when it's dirty. I miss my optical mouse in my dorm. Two, I cannot draw birds. That was supposed to be another one of Brianne's characetrs, Sol, in his raven form. For a birdwatcher, I sure suck at drawing birds. Probably why I'm such a poor birdwatcher." Stareyes' website

"I picked shadowheart because she looked cool and tough. I changed her clothes a little bit, and the drawing was in black and white, so i guessed on the colors. Hope I did alright. This was really a struggle, and i'm not totally happy with it, but i have been working on it for the past week, and it is finally a little better. I hope it's acceptable. "This is done in pencil and color pencil, which has come to be my style. It was drawn on ivory paper. The scan is exactly how the original is, and I don't believe in upping the contrast digitally. That said...I present to you, Chang Kang. Because my style, and sense of humor is so different from A. Twu's, I found it quite difficult to find a character that I could relate to. I ended up picking Chang on look alone, with a dash of what I perceived to be a humorous interaction with the 'common' folk. So, this is Chang, trying to dodge some anacronistic paparatzi. "I decided to draw Ash because of all the Ocean's End characters, she and Disa were the ones I liked the best. Everyone seems to draw Disa, and I've always liked elves anyway, so the decision was easy after that.
