"The bonus sketch came first while I was pondering ideas on what to do. I had aimed for some sort of extreme trauma/horror expression on Jaye's face, when things started getting very, very silly. A few breaks in the Fourth Wall later, Jaye was tied up in a chair dressed somewhat like LOTR's Legolas. I also had an in between page explaining how Jaye found himself my unwilling prisoner (it involved bribing/threatening Nym), but the artwork sucked so I ditched it." Dot Warners' website

"I chose Riki because he deserves some 'fangirl' type fan art too! I went with a rougher style this time as well, to enhance the sort of relaxed feel of the moment. The only color is the red in his hair and the red on one single bead on his staff. He turned out rather brooding, and I believe that comes from the way Stareyes draws him usually. "Well, it seems like that among the characters of the 20-odd regular participants of Manga Art Exchange, we have another blue-haired robot! Granted, Basil may not have the high profile of that other blue haired machine, but she's definitely a more agreeable person. Speaking of blue hair, though, going through the Manga Art Exchange galleries, it's just as common if not more so than colors such as black or blond. There are also a few instances of blue skin, but that's a whole 'nother thing. I bet it's only a matter of time that blue hair becomes big in real life, and hair dyeing solutions like these become commonplace. Materials: Marker. I just got these three nice blue markers to replace the almost completely drained blue markers from my old marker set, and I had to try 'em out.
